Locals George 'Rat' Moran and Billy Holm rest awhi Locals George 'Rat' Moran and Billy Holm rest awhile on the handcrafted memorial bench that's been installed in Bangalow's Raftons Road to honour the memory of Paul ‘Campo’ Campton, whose death in an alleged hit-and-run last year shocked the whole community. The bench was built by Mike Aherne, a carpenter and timber craftsman who lives metres from the accident site. For months, residents have been maintaining a parcel of land at the site, transforming it into an attractive green space and the ideal location for the memorial bench. The bench was unveiled on the first anniversary of Paul's death and is located not far from where he lost his life.
